Emily Dickinson Sends Email to her Chat Group

This is my letter to the world
’Tis sent electronically
My simple news, my daily word
In virtual reality.

This message is transmitted
To those I cannot see
To all my friends in cyberspace:
Judge tenderly of me.

The Information Age

How lovely to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
On an admiring blog!

To twitter and to tweeter
Like a butterflyor moth
To tell your every action
To add it to the broth

That’s cooking up potatoes
On a simmerin a pot
You think that we are eager
But oh, I tell younot.
