Shadow Boxing

It’s hard to fight
a ghost I suppose
when there’s nothing to bite
and nothing’s upright,
or offers a nose
It’s hard to fight,
to step on its toes
It’s hard to fight
or even oppose,
to squeeze it tight
It’s hard to fight,
to rain any blows
It’s hard to fight
a ghost I suppose.
