Talkin’ Those 2008 Financial Crisis Blues

Banks don’t go broke like people do.
They may be billions deep in debt
in excess of their revenue.
Still, bailouts see a Fat Cat through
the bonus season. You can bet
banks won’t go broke like people do.
Their uncle’s not your Uncle Lou,
who spots you a fiver with regret.
When payments run way overdue,
banks don’t go broke—just people do.
