—Back to Bumbershoot Contents—

It’s a Moo Point Moo point, a mispronunciation of moot point, overheard in a dinner conversation.

Though no bovine
would argue long,
the point foregone,
it might opine
and you might follow
its plodding line
of rumination,
thoughts herded
into formation
like straggling, thin
unhurried kine
before the evening
cattle call—
and find, amazed,
when the cows come
home, they have
opinions, after all.
