Variations on Pablo Neruda After Ode to Enchanted Light

In the offices
light drips from ceilings.
The light a sharp
scaffolding of windows
shining on every tile
and drifting down like the pulled
wings of moths.

A copier sends
its swishing song
high into the climate controlled air.

The world is
a cup overflowing
with coffee.
