Oh! A kitten, soft and gray
With its fur so fuzzy warm . . .
Take the damn thing away,
The game it likes to play
Is called “claw marks to the arm.”
 Oh! A kitten, soft and gray…
It’s scratched me twice today,
I am running out of balm;
Take the damn thing away.
Oh, sure, it’s got a charm,
But, excuse me if I say:
“Oh? A kitten, soft and gray?
Je suis desolé,
Send it to a farm,”
Take the damn thing away,
I don’t buy the cute display;
It’s out to cause me harm.
Oh! A kitten soft and gray…
Take the damn thing away.
