I've received more entries than I did back in 2009 and am having a difficult time winnowing it down to 12 (or 13 for a baker's dozen!) to send to Sam Gwynn.

It's funny how "themes" appear from year to year, in sonnets quite different from one another in other aspects.

This year the theme that seems to be popping up is that of jewels.

No, and they don't have to have a rhyme scheme either, and . . . and . . .

International Women's Day, and I am wondering why, out of the sonnets I've received so far for the sonnet bake-off, only 16% are from women . . .

I've received ten sonnets already! Keep them coming!
