Thanks to everyone for giving all the explanations while I was elsewhere. I forgot how many people would be new to the world of Bake-Offs and would need to know more than the bare bones of how to submit to one. I've received 15 submissions already & I hope there will be many more.

STATUS REPORT: We have 25 sonnets entered in the bakeoff so far, and 10 more days before submissions close. Just a reminder to get your sonnets in before midnight on April 15!

Catherine Chandler 04-04-2012 11:18 AM

OMG!!! Only 25 so far? I received 60 in 2009 and 68 in 2011, and I believe Tim had over a hundred once! I hope you get more soon! Maybe over this long week-end . . .

Rick Mullin 04-04-2012 02:43 PM

Don't worry, Catherine, I'm sure there will be a big line at the post office on April 15!

Ehem. I think Rick is making zee leetle joke in reference to zee dread Tax Day in the US. (Except that this year I think it's actually the 17th.)

Catherine Chandler 04-04-2012 07:25 PM

Ehem. I live in Canada and our tax return cut-off date is April 30th. Guess I've been away too long . . .;)

Alex Pepple 04-05-2012 04:54 AM

Gail and everyone,

It's not a good idea to compete with the taxman, so, let's extend the deadline to 17th. How's that!

Cheers,
...Alex

Cyn Neely 04-08-2012 10:06 PM

so this is extended then?

Alex Pepple 04-11-2012 01:30 AM

Yes, Cyn. It's extended as indicated.

Cheers,
...Alex
