I stay away from the politics, and often (but not regularly enough) have interesting chats with good poets, editors and scholars. I should add that much of it is private--the "direct message" function is private & does NOT have the 140 character restriction.

I agree that Mike runs a great page there, and that Twitter is fun (and sometimes useful) for chatting, sharing information, and publicizing books, classes, and events. Also, besides the use of photos and links, I've seen some longer poems posted there one stanza at a time in numbered tweets.
But I have yet to see Twitter used as a forum for critique. If I've missed anything along those lines, would someone please let me know? |
