Steven, I'll be sure and wear a flower in my hair or something. !! I'll contact you when it gets closer if it looks good for my making it out. I'm hoping for the 21st.
Looking forward, and hoping my schedule allows,
wendy

David, thank you very much for your return as Honorary Lariat and for the generosity of your time and commentary. Have a lovely time reading, and don't forget that you are a Spherian when you get back online.

I am sorry to know that Anthony Hecht isn't well, and I wish him a speedy recovery. I met him and heard him read at West Chester, along with yourself and Pete Fairchild. Those who can make the trip to Colorado will find it a stimulating and rewarding experience.

David, many thanks for your thought-provoking essays and comments here. I'll look forward to Ludlow!

Steven, could you post the dates, times, and locations of those readings? I'll be in Colorado in early October and was considering a route that would take me through Colorado Springs.

Sincerest best wishes to Anthony Hecht. His work has brought me pleasure; I envy those among you who've heard him read.

And thank you, Dave. I enjoyed your tenure as Lariat.

Mark:

The David Mason reading is at 7 PM, Thursday, October 21st at 7 PM at McHugh Commons on the Colorado College Campus.

The replacement reading, Fairchild or whomever, is scheduled for Thursday, October 14th at 7 PM at Packard Hall Auditorium on the CC Campus.

A map of the campus can be seen here: http://www.conferences.coloradocolle...p/maymap.html#

McHugh Commons is helpfully mislabeled on this map, however. It's further to the west of where the star appears, just short of the soccer field.

Thanks, Steven. It looks to be an attractive campus. May the readings go well.

Mark
