My favorite of these is The Last Concert. I didn't notice how fitting "birthwarm" was until the second time around. And I love "love's severe, exacting heart" - it makes me think of Percy Grainger and his mother.

The ABC rhyme scheme is nice and subtle too. (And exacting!)

Last Concert is terrific. Creepy in its exactitude. Not to mention its appropriately exacting technique--"Basin" and "face in"!

My fave is "Fifteen" - I think I read this in Light? I like the clear and simple rhymes, like animals - or traps.

I also like "Green" and "The Pool" - so effective and seemingly offhand.
