I try to write my
Dissertation on Bacon
To Lamb-like bleating

Bacon and haiku
Careful selection required
Crisp and without fat

Duh backwards is Hud
Is he a Paul Newman fan?
Or just dyslexic?

waking up slowly
to the sound of falling rain,
dreaming of bacon

for breakfast I'll bring
sweet bacon, you August bring
the butter and eggs

We all try our best
But poetry alone won't
Bring home the bacon

The market is full
Of mass-consuming gluttons:
Saturated, fat

Insignificant
or in microscopic joy,
June bug marks bacon

Bacon, Allen. Bacon.

In my yukata
Bowing while buying bacon
Shop clerks all giggle

Minnesota Fair
Seduced by bacon burgers
Anne Margaret loves me

Katana sword oiled
with bacon glaze for winter,
moth-balled martial arts
