I didn't plan to vote, since there are many excellent sonnets here and I don't want to upset anybody.

Postcard, Hoarder, and Snow Blind were my next choices and honorable mentions if I could pick. They're in no particular order. I enjoyed reading all of the finalist sonnets. They all definitely had merit. Alex, thank you for hosting, thank you to the DG, and thank you to all who took the time to comment.

Reluctantly, I chose “The Hoarder” for 3rd place. The rhymes are good and its frivolity is preferable to the lazy identicals and off-rhymes of 2 other contenders—“Postcard” and “Iamb.”
