I hadn't given any consideration to the numbers involved. Frankly, seeing that the Amazon-affiliated write-for-free publication has so many more readers than the paying publications does not improve my opinion of that contest.

(I'll probably send in the obit poem I've written, and I would certainly try to get ink once if I never had, to have that feather in my cap, though the Bezos connection makes the feather less attractive.)
