Once again, I bow my head in shame and acknowledge that I misread the instructions. Sorta opens the field up, eh? I'm glad, frankly, 'cuz I was running out of first lines that interested me, and now my ambition knows no bounds.

Jerry, you're reinstated (as usual) in my good graces, scheming conniver and volvo-mangler though you might be...

The menace of the years finds and shall find me, unafraid,
whilst I've the likes of Robert Ward often coming to my aid.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
but I have compliments to steep.

Ooops! Wrong Message

Of man's first disobedience, and the fruit
Of sin and pleasure, I say: "Cheers! Salute!"

Premature Ejaculation?

Wilt thou forgive that sin where I begun,
or should I wait to ask until I'm donne?

My Shmatta

A Frenchman born and bred,
I have to wear a shmatta.
It isn't just a thread,
it's my desiderata.

A Frenchman born and bred,
my shmatta's my religion;
if I exposed my head
I couldn't be a Phrygian.

It's not that hair is sordid
or that my ears are huge
or that my locks are corded
or even subterfuge

or that there's no hot water
or that we're standardized
(it's not about my daughter),
but we've been stigmatized.

Terese

Terese

What shmatta with you? That's not a tailgater! *grin*

Terese Coe 01-19-2004 08:00 AM

Oop, you're right, Jerry!

My bad. It was late!

Terese

Terese Coe 01-19-2004 08:20 AM

Ok, if at first...the first line is Ronsard, btw.

A Frenchman born and bred,
my shmatta's on my head.

[Is that better?]

Terese

Jerry Glenn Hartwig 01-19-2004 06:25 PM

Much.

Although at first I thought you wrote 'Shimatta', which is Japanese for 'I have made a mistake!'
