Baby Crying at Night

He cried
to sleep at night.
His parents thought it right.
When young, he lost the way to true
delight.

Simple
wrote a simple
poem with a simple
ending. Simple kept it simply
simple.

Special
wrote a special
poem with a special
bending. Special's form was freshly
special, especially on the last line, which deserved distending

Nice parallelism in the your cinquains to "simple" and "special", Michael. http://www.ablemuse.com/erato/ubbhtml/smile.gif

The following one is unrelated to these. I'm still thinking of the "Addicted to Unhappiness" book I mentioned to Anne earlier.

you seek?

Rose,

That's brilliant.

Janice D. Soderling 06-29-2008 04:42 AM

Now that's what I call an artful cinquain, Rose. A model to emulate.

Heavens, Rose, what Janice and Cally said.
Stunning precision.

It's a bullseye.

Mary Meriam 06-29-2008 10:50 AM

Yeah, Rose, really great. I'm not jealous at all.

So Cally, Wendy, want to try your hand at a cinquain?

wendy v 06-29-2008 01:19 PM

So Cally, Wendy, want to try your hand at a cinquain?>>

The hand might be very apt, actually....

It being a Sundy morning, I instead went for
