I published four thrillers too. That's a great many more than any poems I've ever published.

Margaret,
I've always sensed that you were a dark horse ;) I'd like to read them if they have your special acerbity and humour.

Gregory,
I happen to know that your novels are greatly respected. I've never read one but would love to.

Henry, belatedly saying I really appreciated your linking us to the Vikram Seth interview--but I can't, after repeated tries, make the clips work, either text or audio, and I think I do have RealPlayer. Just wondering if others managed to access them?

Christine,

They worked for me. I tried them this morning. I'm using Mac and the procedure I have to adopt is as follows: I click on the link and they're downloaded onto my desktop. I then open the Real Player programme and choose "Open File" from its menu; I find the appropriate file on the desktop and click it.

Thanks Gregory, it was very kind of you to explain the procedure, unfortunately I couldn't do it this way either--not using Mac, for a start; and couldn't open RealPlayer altho I have an icon for it on my desktop.
Don't worry, Gregory (or anyone else), I'll just wait until my 18 yr old or my 20 yr old is around to show me!

Christine
