Back again
Vertical again. All praise to the NHS. The view from my hospital window must have been the best in th world. Will resume normal service. Jaynes you are a STAR!
|
YAY!!!
Thrilled to see you back again. |
Excellent! (We await a detailed report on the medical procedure, in verse.)
|
Welcome back, John!
|
Welcome back! Hurray for you, John, and hurray for the NHS.
|
Welcome back, John. Take care and don't strain yourself by overdoing it.
Jayne is indeed a star and so are you. |
Hooray!
I trust you didn't waste your time in hospital, but did some solid research for the 'Modern Maladies' comp. George |
Welcome back, John! And good to hear a good word for the NHS.
|
As far as I'm concerned, Jayne is the star, and you are the manger!
Keep keeping the beat, John! Cally |
Excellent news - good to have you up and about.
Ed |
Halle-frickin'-lujah! Jayne is a star, of course, but we've all had to be on our best behavior with her. Now we can get back to belching and leaving our dirty socks lying around.
|
Welcome back, John!
|
Thanks, Jayne, for a job well done. As one who has impersonated John on several occasions, I can tell you that it's not easy.
|
Yes, John, now I can leave The Speccie results to you tomorrow, my old mate! :D
It hasn't been the same without you (and your typos ;)); welcome back. Thanks for the nice comments, folks. (Belching, Chris? Tut tut!) |
John, It is good to hear that you are back in action. Thanks to Jayne for keeping things going in your absence.
Susan |
Glad you're better, John.
|
Well held, Jayne! Howzat!
(Excuse cricket metaphor - blame John's influence :D) |
I'm delighted to hear you're back, John, and grateful to Jayne for keeping our withdrawal symptoms to a minimum.
|
Welcome back, John.
|
John--
So glad welcome back your wit and wizardry. Best, Jean |
John, indeed good news that you are no longer horizontal. Were we in the 18th century it would no doubt be a cue for:
Verticality Restor'd, or, Mr W's Welcome Home from Hospital Cease, comic Muse, distractedly to moan, Thy Fav'rite, Whitworth, is no longer prone . . . (Apply via planchette to A.P. Esq. for the rest) And congratulations too on the Oldie win, which if there were any justice should have replenished your supplies of strong brown tea. |
Back, vertical, and trailing clouds of Oldies behind you - that's a hell of an entrance, John. Welcome back.
And thanks to Jayne, who hardly had to discipline us at all - and congratulations on yr Modship. Frank |
I echo Cally's sentiments!
|
John,
We all love you, and I'm honoured to be your deputy. Guys and gals: thanks for the support. Drills and Amusements is a great board to hang around - see you there... often! |
Yay John! Life life life! Despite the grand view from your room there, it's still a nasty old hospital with gezillions of germs. So relieved you had no contact with or contagion from the dreaded "restless leg syndrome" one hears so much about these days from our pharmaceutical flacks in the US.
Keep mending! And well done, Jayne! |
John W!
Welcome back ten fold! As one whose stays in hospital beds have been far too frequent of late, I and and my IV-punctured wrist commiserate. Or do you Brits call that infernal needle spun in the bowels of Tartarus an IV? Jayne Osborne BTW has enough wit and wisdom to run any ship I'm sailing on, but it's good to have the captain back. Lance |

I totally agree that it's good to have 'Captain John' back at the helm. |
Do you know Lance, I had one of those but I've completely forgotten what it was called. Left some fine bruises on both arms though. Canulla?
|
thankgoodness you got thru the NHS. glad you're feeling well and back, John!

Do you know I have dreamed of having conversations with Prince Charles while driving along in a state coach. I can't remember what we talke ABOUT however. Perhaps Omar Khayyam?

Granular cannula!
Whitworth revitalised Ready to rumble and Shoot from the hip. Supercurmudgeonly As we remember him; Tricked out with new bits like Theseus’ ship. |

Nice work!
