When Men Bow Down, now available
Thanks to the remarkable expertise of Dos Madres Press, my book, When Men Bow Down, has just materialized from the poetic ether.
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7266/7...2ca9b7627a.jpg The books are in hand, so if you would like a signed copy direct from this horse's mouth, you can PM me here or contact me at exottreasures@gmail.com with your mailing address, which I will use after sending you a convenient PayPal bill via EXOT BOOKS. It’ll come to $20 (domestic) with the shipping and the DNA. Or you can order direct from DOS MADRES PRESS, here. Alright, I'm biased, but this is a really handsome object. Dos Madres does a helluva a job! Launch plans to be announced shortly. Nemo |
Stunning cover, Nemo! Will send you a check as soon as I return from vacation. Can't wait to hold it in my hands. A.

Thanks, all.
Since it is horn-tooting time, I should mention that the cover art is a painting of my own. The design of the book itself is by the incomparable Elizabeth Murphy of Dos Madres Press. I hope anyone in the area can make it to a rather relaxed launch party at from 7 PM onward on Sunday August 5th, at Queen Vic, 68 2nd Ave (on the corner of 4th Street). http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8161/7...088716831a.jpg In the meantime, keep those orders coming! Thanks again, Nemo |
Bravo, Nemo! I love your new book of poems! There's a strong centered voice leading us all around the world and back home again. One beautiful thing after another. The ghazals might be my faves. Way to go, No Man!
|
Thanks so much, Mary. Remember: years back, it was you who steered me insistently to the ghazal!
I'm hoping anyone in the area will try and make it down to the launch on this coming Sunday. It's shaping up as quite a nice celebration. Nemo |
I'll see you at the launch and will buy your book then.

Nemo,
Outstanding accomplishment. Wish I could be at the launch. Keep "wowing" us, please! Don |
Arrived yesterday! Enjoy the launch, Susan

Amazing read
As I wrote on Facebook last night, Nemo, I got mine in the mail last night, and I am savoring these poems, slowly. For me, this is not a quick read, but rather, a journey, poems to read over and over again. I thought it was interesting that, after I made my comment about the gorgeous poem "Pastels" another reader with an excellent eye commented on that particular poem, as well as another one. It is apparent, just from this thread, that this book is going to get a lot of well deserved attention.
One question: do you know if anyone is going to videotape your reading at the book launch? I've heard that Rick Mullin does an amazing job with that... :) |
I'm reading my copy a few poems a night. Thinking about lightning bugs. A really fantastic collection.
