Alabama Literary Review
The ALR is out and contains several Sphereans, in this order:
Maryann Corbett, "A Volume of Cases" Anna Evans, "The Memory Thief" Tim Murphy, a 6-page tribute to Feeny Gail White, "Statues of Antinous" Way to go, Sphere. |
Thanks for the shout-out, Gail, and I love your Antinous poem. Those who read here might also be interested to learn that the issue includes a group of poems by the late Wilmer Mills and a poem by Timothy Steele. There's an interview and several poems by featured poet Alice Friman.

Thanks, Gail. "Changing of the Guard" is indeed six pages, a prosimetrum that includes some very substantial unpublished hunting poems. I'm grateful to Bill for publishing (and editing) it, and I convey my congratulations to everyone participating in the issue. Time for my weekly trip to the post office!

Congrats to all. I great pub.

One of the finest venues for formal poetry IMHO. Congratulations!
|
Congratulations, everyone. I look forward to reading it. Has the issue gone online yet, as the last one did?

Thanks, all, for the encouraging remarks.
The new issue should be online soon. Bil |
I started with White, Steele, Corbett, and Evans. Great start! Congratulations, Bill.

The Murphy poems aren't half bad either, Tim.

Bill, it's good to have a new home for hunting poems. I withdrew the largest of these from Gray's Sporting Journal, which pays well, because I write so many of them each autumn they can't possibly keep up; and I'm hopelessly backlogged there. Looks to me like you published 120 lines of pentameters, which is a lot of ink. Thank you. I'm taking Chucky down to our stomping grounds to flush some spring roosters this morning, and I shall drop off copies at the farms I describe in the prosimetrum.

WTG indeed, all you great spherians!
|
Wonderful. Congrats to all--rather belatedly!

This came up when I had no access, but congrats to all and sundry. The issue sounds like a collector's item.
|
I really love Maryann Corbett's poem in this issue, "A Volume of Cases."
