2013 Flash Fiction Workshop
Dear Eratosphereans,
I'm pleased to let you know that I've been able to set up another Flash Fiction Workshop for this year, and even more pleased to introduce our new Distinguished Guest for the event, April Lindner, who also happens to be a long-time Eratospherean. The Event Host for this year is Rob Wright. The event starts October 18, 2013, at the Fiction forum. I hope all our fiction writers, and the poets too, will show up for the event! Rob will be posting and introduction to April in this forum just before the event starts. So, stay tuned! Cheers, ...Alex |
Hooray for everyone--Rob, April, Alex! Wow. This is always a fun event.
|
Agreed, Janice. Thanks to all concerned for organising things.
|
hope you'll bump this up around that time ALex. I will certainly stop by if I remember about it. Sounds great.
|
What are the guidelines?
|
Same as the previous years' events, Michael -- in a nutshell, show up at the fiction forum when the event starts for the writing prompts from the DG; post your effort; participate, along with the DG, in critique/discussion of the posted work; etc. . . .

2013 Flash Fiction Workshop
Hello, everyone. I'm so excited to be taking part in the Flash Fiction Workshop. Looking forward to Friday.

Flash Fiction Workshop, Intro
Greetings Fiction Writers, and Poets.
Since April Lindner has introduced herself above, I thought I'd let you know something about our Distinguished Guest. Get ready for a fabulous workshop! April Lindner is the author of three Young Adult novels: Catherine, a modernization of Wuthering Heights; Jane, an update of Jane Eyre; and Love, Lucy, a retelling of E. M. Forster’s A Room With a View, forthcoming in early 2015 from Poppy. She also has published two poetry collections, Skin (Texas Tech University Press) and This Bed Our Bodies Shaped (Able Muse Press). With R. S. Gwynn, she co-edited Contemporary American Poetry, an anthology in Longman’s Penguin Academics series. A professor of English at Saint Joseph’s University, April lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two sons. The workshop will last five days, beginning Friday with a new prompt each day on the Fiction Forum. April and Alex thought a limit of 1000 words would be workable and an interesting challenge. So sharpen your wits and take up the wonderful opportunity offered here. Rob Wright |
