What Lucy says

She says she has no objection to us posting stuff here. She understands what Eratosphere is as the other lady does not.

Ann Drysdale 10-07-2013 05:34 AM

Hurrah for Lucy. Now if Chris persuades Vicky and Jayne susses out Tessa...

This is beginning to sound like Mike Leigh production; I am casting it as we speak...

John Whitworth 10-07-2013 07:12 AM

Tessa has no objection to us posting here.

Jayne Osborn 10-07-2013 07:20 AM

You beat me to it, John.

Jayne

Ann Drysdale 10-07-2013 07:59 AM

Zugzwang...

John Whitworth 10-07-2013 08:04 AM

Lucy and Tessa are more reasonable than the NS folk.

Jayne Osborn 10-07-2013 02:59 PM

The last four posts have been doctored by moi, to save my skin! Apologies John and Ann. (Let me know if you want to say something different in those posts!)

It's called "damage limitation".

Roger Slater 10-07-2013 03:24 PM

I read them this morning, Jayne. What's it worth to you for me not to reveal the secret you would now suppress?

Jayne Osborn 10-07-2013 03:27 PM

You must have been dreaming, Bob! ;)

(Shhh! You wouldn't really want to see me swinging by my neck, would you?)

Brian Allgar 10-07-2013 03:44 PM

I read them too, Bob. I want half of whatever Jayne gives you, unless it's a black eye.

Michael Cantor 10-07-2013 04:33 PM

I read them also, and I don't even post on this Board very often, so I can reveal all without fear of retribution. But who would believe that Jayne could behave in such an outlandish manner, particularly in public? Best to let it lie, I say.

John Whitworth 10-07-2013 04:57 PM

No, you just thought that you read them. It's all just a horrible dream. That last sentence is the last line of a limerick. Who knows the other four, eh?

And who would believe the sphere is inhabited by would-be blackmailers???

... or all these sufferers of "False Memory Syndrome"? :p

Said Jayne, “Things are not what they seem.
My version of truth is supreme,
For I never said it
And you never read it -
It’s all just a horrible dream

John Whitworth 10-08-2013 12:40 PM

Shazam! And again I say...

Brian Allgar 10-09-2013 08:56 AM

Ah, someone else who remembers Captain Marvel.

basil ransome-davies 10-09-2013 10:46 AM

Yes, dear old Captain Marvel, invincible till a plagiarism suit came along.

John Whitworth 10-09-2013 11:57 AM

Plagiarism? Tell us more, Bazza.

Chris O'Carroll 10-09-2013 12:54 PM

Technically, it was a famous copyright infringement suit:

There you have it. As a very young kid I was hipped on Capt. Marvel, & wondered for years what happened to him. Superman? Meh.
