How did it go?

Rick Mullin 02-11-2019 12:39 PM

Got my copy at the launch yesterday. Wonderful event. Bravo, Nemo (host). And John Marcus Powell was just great. I recorded it and will have some YouTube videos available before long.

Excellent cover by Julio Perea.

I was hoping you would. Put a link up when you're ready, won't you?

R. Nemo Hill 02-16-2019 10:44 AM

Here is most of the reading.
There are some introductory remarks missing.
And readings of their own poems are missing from Jee Leong Koh and Adriana Scopino, as well as (unfortunately)Thomas Fucaloro's entire reading.

But all of John Marcus Powell's performance is here!

(And Annie, your book, signed, has been shipped)

John Marcus reads (part one).

John Marcus reads (part two).

John Marcus reads (part three).

John Marcus reads (part four).

Nemo's introduction (part one).

Nemo's introduction (part two).

Jee Leong Koh's reading.

Adriana Scopino's reading.

Thanks to Rick Mullin, for the video recordings!
It was a great afternoon, and it's a fabulous book, available now from EXOT BOOKS

Nemo,

I finally got around to watching these. Wonderful. I'll be buying that lovely chap's book.

Thanks for the links.

R. Nemo Hill 03-06-2019 03:03 PM

Thanks, Mark. The overseas shipping, unfortunately, has become preposterous. I think it may appear on Amazon in the UK in the coming weeks, which would save you a bundle.

While this is up on the top of the board I should mention that this Sunday, March 10th, in Manhattan there will be an EXOT BOOKS reading as part of Great Weather For Media's series at the Parkside Lounge. The reader will include myself, John Marcus Powell, Meredith Bergmann, Jane Ormerod, and Adriana Scopino. The Parkside Lounge is at 317 East Houston Street and it is from 4-6PM. There is also an open mike.

If you are nearby, stop by.
It might be rowdy!

Thanks Nemo, I'll look out for it on Amazon. The ending of his 'Eighteen Virginia Years' with the 'veil on, veil off/comfortable violence' bit, I found to be stunningly powerful.

Good luck with the the reading. There in spirit, as always.

Mark.
