I also hope there's a repeat winner.

I was happy with my finalist placement two years ago for my parody of Millay's "Renascence". A lot depends on the final judge. I have three for this year. We'll see . . .
|
Cathy, is one of them a parody of Frost's "After Apple Picking"? :)
|
No, Roger ! Way too gross . . .
|
Is there any way to see any of the past finalists' poems other than buying back issues? Alternatively does anyone know which is the most recent issue with winners in it? I see the 2014 issue's contents lists parody winners, but I'm guessing there was a more recent one than that.
Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone ever win or place with a metrical version of a free verse poem. It seems like a bit of handicap. Thanks, Matt |
I hope this year's judge will read all, or at least most, of the entries.
That would be a nice reputation for this contest to cultivate. |
