Cameron Clark in The Ekphrastic Review

Congratulations to Cam, whose poem based on Max Ernst's Forest and Dove, appears in TER today. You can read it here 🕊 :)

Best wishes,
Fliss

Great poem, Cameron. I like how the lines are broken.

I like the syntax bit in particular. Very nice!

Cheers,
John

Cameron, that's excellent, I think - I like the internal rhymes, and the way that I can read the forward slash as a notation for strange binaries. Good one-word start, too, which echoes the image very effectively.

And Congratulations!

Beautifully expressed. You've slashed through the thick brushstrokes and carved out a birdsong... The lineation and slashes make for a different poem each time I read it. I imagined myself as a Shakespearean actor and read it aloud and again, it sounded like birdsong.
