Pruning this weekend (Updated notice)
 

Hi everyone, (please jump to post #5)

After all the trauma and drama of the last couple of weeks, with the Sphere down and - mercifully - back up again thanks to Alex's hard work and skill, I shall have another attempt this coming weekend to do what was going to be the "End of Year Pruning". See Post #1 of this thread

Please save in some format, and/or print out any threads from the relevant boards before Sunday 27th January.

Can I just check: Will the pruning will done as if it were being done on the 31st December? That is, you'll prune any threads haven't been posted to since 1st December? Or will it now be threads that have been inactive for 30 days counting back from the 27th January?

I saved all my old threads prior to the prune (based on the 31st Dec prune date). I'm just wondering if there are now threads that I haven't yet saved that will go.

I hope this question makes sense! :)

Hi Matt,
I can't do a retrospective pruning, so it will be as of the 27th.
I hope my answer makes sense too, as it's 1.15am and I'm using my phone in bed, about to go to sleep!

Using your phone in bed? Shocking stuff. That'll keep you awake. Instead, do what I do. Stay up and sit in front of a laptop :)

I need to go save some more threads. Well, maybe leaving that till tomorrow would be sensible.

Dear Sphereans,

In view of the further technical problems we've experienced in the last few days, I'm delaying the pruning by two days to allow things to settle down again.

I shall now prune the boards on Wednesday 30th January - unless anything else occurs to make me postpone it again... but let's hope that's not the case. If you have any queries please PM me.
