For those of you who can use Twitter (unlike me), just wanted to mention that my poem "Gator Aid", which first appeared in Light's Poems of the Week, can now be found at #FloridaWomanGetsHerDue. This amuses me no end.

At the Poetry by the Sea conference today, Melissa Balmain chaired a panel, Laughing at the News, devoted to topical light verse. In her introductory remarks, she got a good laugh when she mentioned Gail's "gator in your pants" poem.

We should all hide gators in our trousers. Congrats, Gail!

The amount of wit and humor packed in this buoyant specimen is off the scale. Gratulationes, Gail!
