If you are interested in hearing/seeing my reading, it has been published here: https://www.rattle.com/rattlecast/

My stuff starts 14:45 minutes in.

Much love,

Aaron

Ah, that's good to know. I checked out the link last night, but 1am was too late for me to tune in live.

Aaron Poochigian 10-16-2019 05:09 AM

Yes, Rattlecast is late-night tv for the UK. Thanks for being interested, though.

Best,

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

Well, it looks to me like the presentation of your work starts at 16 and you come on at 17:45, so a bit later? I like the reading - I've not heard you read before, and it's quite alive. I enjoyed your changes of pace.

Cheers,
John

Thank you for the correction, John. I am glad that you enjoyed the reading!

Hi Aaron,

I enjoyed watching this. Great to hear these poems read aloud. I was also impressed at how well you read them. I've had to record poems occasionally; they were much shorter than these, but I still needed several takes to get through them without stumbling.

Thank you, Matt, for enjoying the reading. Have you done a recording for Rattle (I seem to recall you winning the ekphrastic challenge there)? Yes?

Matt Q 10-21-2019 10:46 AM

I did record my poem for that one and wasn't happy with the result, so didn't send it. Likewise with my previous Ekphrastic winner, a couple of years back. I think in large part it comes down to not really liking the sound of my voice when it's recorded. I have one recording online for a venue where an accompanying recording was a requirement, and then I had no choice.

I enjoyed your reading very much, Aaron. I especially liked that Tim had the book onscreen so my eyes could follow along. I'm an incorrigible page poem person.

(Oh, gosh, sorry again about that missing "t." at the end of Reunion Show. And thank you again for not strangling me for it when we met.)
