Who is going to West Chester?
I'm posting in the spirit of conviviality--and for a practical reason, too.
I'm planning to fly into Philadelphia, as I did back in 2012, the last time I was able to attend. As I understand it, getting from there to WCU is something I need to arrange privately. Sharing rides seems like a good idea. Are there modes other than flying that I ought to be thinking about? So if you're going, do speak up just for fun. And if you're planning to arrive on Tuesday, 6/6, let's talk. |
I'm going to West Chester on Tuesday. I haven't bought my plane ticket yet, so perhaps we can coordinate. I'll be in Dick Davis's seminar on verse translation.

I'll be heading in late on Tuesday. From New York, via train and possibly bus or Uber or Lyft or something.
|
I think I will be there Friday and Saturday, which reminds me to send Sam an email today. From the Philadelphia station, you can take Amtrak to Exton; it is a $15 Uber/Lyft ride from Exton to the campus (much cheaper than the private car services).

Well, I'm going. I hope that's OK.

I have a hectic June & will be staying home. Have fun!

I'll be there, having nailed down the details earlier today.

I'll see you all there. Also in the translation thingy. I arrive on the 6th at 7:45 p.m., and will be renting a car at the airport. Happy to give folks a ride who are already there, but, sorry, I don't want to wait for those who will arrive later since I will need to get there, get dinner, get settled and then get up super early for the next day. I don't function well at these things if I haven't had a full night's sleep. Anyhoo, let me know if a ride's needed and we coincide. Best, TB

I'll be travelling there on Wednesday morning from New York. If anyone else is doing the same and can offer me a lift (or even a ride) I will be very grateful.
