Book recommendations
 

My thought is that it would be good to have a long-running, general-purpose thread for book recommendations. I'm imagining this less as a thread for "hey I read this good book and want to give it a shout out" and more "I'm looking for X type of book, can you help me," though I guess I don't make the rules.

Anyway, I'm looking for a good introduction to the metaphysical poets. A book of criticism, preferably, not a collection.

I like Eliot's essays on the Metaphysical poets, starting with "The Metaphysical Poets" of 1921, which is in his Selected Prose, along with various individual author essays, such as that on Marvell. But this may be a bit obvious.
