Reading at the Oscar Wilde Temple in Manhattan
I will be reading in New York City this weekend.
With poets Jee Leong Koh and John Marcus Powell. Sunday November 12, 7PM at the Oscar Wilde Temple, an installation in The Church Of The Village 201 West 13th street (at 7th avenue) https://www.oscarwildetemple.org/ https://www.oscarwildetemple.org/upcoming-events/ If any one is in the neighborhood, stop by and be regaled. Three of my favorite New York and Beyond poets. I will try.... You know how it is.....
Enjoy! |
The place looks amazing, Nemo. I hope it goes well.
I'll be there in spirit. “One's real life is so often the life that one does not lead” as the man said. |
Another spirit. Wishing you all well and hoping for some videos .
|
I'm a bit regaled just thinking about it.
Have fun! |
"Break a leg" Nemo!
Best wishes from across The Pond. (Wish I could teleport myself and be there.) Jayne |
How good! Wish I could... So close yet so far.
Sing! |
Thanks, Rick, Mark, Ann, John, Jayne, & Jim.
I will attempt to read to attendees as well as to all alerted spirits. I'll be reading my recent chapbook, My Mother's Legs Are Weeping (which will also be for sale—having had, as yet, no official launch). Nemo |
Ah, I would love to hear that read aloud... Now I might just walk there...
|
Hey, Jim, if I can read with a bad cold, then you can get on your walking shoes and trek!

Sounds like a top night, Nemo. For geographical reasons, I'll have to offer my excuses. It would be great to see you and Jee read though (I'm sure it would be great to see John Marcus Powell too, I just don't know his work). I don't suppose anyone will video it?
Seeing this has reminded me to order a copy of your chapbook. I tried a couple of times a while back when the website wasn't working. best, Matt |
Thanks, Matt. I think the site's glitches have been ironed out.
John Marcus Powell is an incomparable reader! Nemo |

And the Oscar goes to . . . !!!!!!!!!
|
Ha! That's funny, Cally. When I first saw the picture I was amused at how comically small Mr Wilde looked next to the trio of poets. But now I think of him as Oscar the 'Oscar' he looks huge! Your joke caused me to experience a comedy-based perception shift (which are always fun).
Well done Nemo. I, too, must order your chapbook. |
Actually Oscar Wilde reminds me of my uncle.
