Halloween Haiku

You can read my Halloween haiku here at Poetry Super Highway.

Martin, I missed this.
Congratulations! I never heard of that venue before. Now I have.

Thanks, Erik. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Each October they have a Halloween haiku contest. I understand they had over 300 submissions this time, so I was pleased to see my poem printed on the page.

Another poem of mine appears in their 20th Annual Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) Poetry Issue. (I might have announced it last April.)

A few weeks ago a poem of mine placed in the top ten in their 2018 contest. There were almost 800 poems entered, so that was another nice surprise. I got to read my piece on their podcast. My terrier began to bark as soon as I started talking on the phone, so I said “Hold on a minute,” which isn’t good to do on the radio! But I got him settled down, then read it without a hitch.

Hi Martin,

It's wonderful to read of your many successes with your poetry. (Without wishing to sound patronising, you've come a very long way even in the time I've known you!) Is it possible for us to hear the podcast?

It took me a while to locate your haiku - I was switching from 'Next' to 'Previous', till I found it here

Onwards and upwards, my friend!!! :D

Jayne

Thanks for your kind words, Jayne. No doubt about it, without you wonderful folks here at the Sphere, no way these nice things would be happening. I love you all! And, Jayne, I appreciate your support and encouragement throughout the past several years.

Thanks for linking directly to my haiku. That’s a big help so people don’t have to search for it.
