Exciting new development in the Art for Art’s sake sub-genre practiced by painters, as Rick declares in a recent post. So, I have modestly written a poem about my last (invisible) posted poem.

A Word Painter’s Dream

(a bombastic pomfrastic)

He thought it was in April, but it wasn’t
And the greening was synthetic sod
The group he’d joined were furloughed actors
Unable to afford a decent vintage
Drinking from a box of rot-gut Gallo
He became a gallo fellow chasing
Submissive sluts disguised as sacred maenads
Finishing the wine from no known vine
Passed to him by some satyric swine
He stumbled forward, told that soon a half-god
Would manifest, and it was, YES!, himself,
In tight white Jockey briefs before a mirror
So smashed he wrote a different lying poem
And a whole-god got the first one published
