indoors, online, plugged in and out of sight.
This playing in the woods just isn't right.'

Mark, I like the misdirecting enjambment on "play" and that the kids are ill at ease in the woods (finding it "not right"). Nice Blake joke at the end (OK, I had to Google to know it was a quote; I'm culturally deprived).

Nice theme. This fits it, I hope, since it's not just kids who are plugged in.

Your poem has self-loathing satirical heft damn you haha. Mine's a muddle in comparison.

The kids are pretty good, really. They like the woods. But they got their first games console thing for Christmas after lots of persuasion that their lack of one was rendering them freaks in the eyes of their peers.
