Are conservatives funnier than liberals?

This is a hoot, Aaron, and I regard the movement to change the song as one more effort to overthrow heritage in favor of trendiness. Harvard WAS founded to train Puritan ministers, and if the wish to keep alive the Puritan legacy sounds a touch ironic today (like the Greek Orthodox prayers for the Byzantine Empire), who the hell cares? How often do they sing it all the way through anyway?

I suggest something about beer (the Puritans stopped at Plymouth for good water, since they were running low on beer) and rhyming with whiskey - that is: Rye. As with "catcher in the", perhaps. Perhaps.

Cavalier of me, I'm sure, but broken clocks are still right twice a day.
