20th Anniversary Issue~First Things
 

I want to acknowledge my gratitude to Paul Lake and Jody Bottum for dusting off my "Rejection Note for Paradise Regained" (workshopped here) for the First Things 20th Anniversary issue. It's always an honor to hang with Alicia Stallings, Rhina Espaillat, Julie Stoner from Erato--as well as Mark Jarman, Samuel Menashe and other fine poets--but what an extraordinary kick it was to read the table of contents and see A.M. Juster (p.48) right after Richard Wilbur (p.37)!

Hats off to you, Michael. And to First Things for two decades of publishing fine poets such as those you name above. Impressive.
