Bump, so this is at the top.
|
I forget, what's the Michael Donaghy event?
|
Roger, the aim is to do something much like the Frost Fest of a while back and the Wilbur Fest of (I think) two years ago. (Will recheck that.) Katy will post an essay/ appreciation and line up others to follow, and there'll be a sort of "open mic" where others can chime in and discuss.

Bumping to top....

Submissions for Deck the Halls close tomorrow night at midnight Central Time.

Thanks to all who submitted for Deck -- our final event for 2010. And I shall now prepare a package from the anonymized entries forwarded by Maryann for our Distinguished Guest for this event, Catharine Savage Brosman.
The event response was OK, with 47 poems total from 22 (anonymous) poets -- anonymous, given how infrequently I'm able to participate in the poetry workshop forums. Having said that though, there are of course a couple of case where identity simply can't be concealed . . . without a previous memory wipe! Even then, fairness shall still prevail -- i.e. fair inclusion or exclusion . . . Errr, I guarantee it! :) I'm looking forward to a wonderful and festive event! Cheers, ...Alex |
Isn't the deadline still nine hours away? I imagine you'll be getting quite a few last minute entries on top of what you now have.
PS-- Make that eight hours. It's midnight central time. |
I'm curious too. I thought it was tonight. I want to wait until the last minute.
|
Tonight is certainly what I've been saying. I've e-mailed Alex a reminder (and a hope that no previous message of mine has caused a mix-up).
