"Villanelles" Anthology
I just learned that the anthology of villanelles edited and assembled by Annie Finch and Marie-Elizabeth Mali, entitled Villanelles, will be published in April 2012 by Everyman's Library as part of their Pocket Poets series. It contains around 200 villanelles, including just about all of the better known villanelles you can think of, as well as villanelles by Ned Balbo, Gail White, AE Stallings, Kate Benedikt, Mary Meriam, Julie Kane, Rhina Espaillat, Tony Barnstone, Susan McLean, Bruce Bennet, and me. There might be other friends of the Sphere that I missed while scanning the lengthy table of contents, for which I apologize. I'm thrilled to make my anthology debut in such fine company.

Congrats to all! Austin, will you be in this one?
|
Yes, my bad. Austin MacRae will be in it as well.

Most impressive!

Great news. Congratulations, Bob, and to everyone else who's in the anthology.
(But we see comments here so often, to the effect that people aren't keen on villanelles. I never understand it, myself; I like them a lot.) I'll be purchasing a copy. |
Yes, congrats to alll! What fabulous news!

This is very good news, and I'll want a copy too.
|
Bob, I'm thrilled for you. Congratulations!

Congratulations to all involved. As a relatively new convert to the villanelle--and well on the way to becoming an addict--I'll really look forward to this.

Excellent! Congratulations, Roger, and other Sphere villain aliens. My copy is bound to get dog-eared.
