Just a quick hi
 

Sorry for my extended absence. In early June we were in court concerning our property. We lost. From there I went immediately to Pacific U to my MFA residency to workshop with Kwame Dawes and Ellen Bass and advisor, Marvin Bell. I attended talks by greats such as Dorianne Laux, David St. John, Sandra Alcosser. Immersed. Then I traveled immediately to the island upon which I now sit and write. We have no electricity so I can only post to anyone occasionally when we go to port. I will be back to civilization (unfortunately) in September and will be able to read your work then and will also post some poems that I have been busy with. Elle, please, if you can, save the thread from Dorianne's guest appearance to share with me when I return. I can't read it now. Hope your summers have been creative and fruitful.
