Thomas Newton was the 2nd place winner of the Blueline Poetry July Blank Verse Challenge. The idea was to work on a pervious free verse poem and upgrade it to blank verse. Actually Thomas converted one of his sonnets to blank verse by taking all the rhymes out--a much easier job.

Well done, Thomas.
It reads better in blank verse than as a sonnet.
