LitRev 'Ships' Competition by 24th April
If you harbour a desire to win this competition, don’t keel over; sea if you can cruise through it. It might be a Titanic task, but Endeavour for a Victory.
(OK, I’ll stop now – and sail off, with a wave goodbye. ;)) Jayne From Literary Review: More pastiched than any other poet, by far, (in last month’s comp) was John Masefield – in particular ‘Cargoes’ and ‘Sea Fever’. So in the spirit of Masefield, for next month please write a poem on the subject of ships. Entries must rhyme and scan, be no more than twenty-four lines in length, and reach these offices by 24th April. The Literary Review, 44 Lexington Street, London W1F 0LW Overseas entries may be emailed to editorial@literaryreview.co.uk |
