Amazing story about Afghan women poets
 

Thanks Martin. It is indeed an amazing story, but I do wonder about the stupidity of the press. Showing these women on the internet, making it easy to identify them, is just causing trouble for them. When they are tracked down there will be no women's poetry group.

How stupid can the Western press be?

I kind of assume that they are not so stupid, and that the women who are pictured
did not feel that it would be dangerous for them; at least I hope so! Remember it
did say that in Kabul the group is quite open about their existence and their meetings,
it's only in the provinces that people are careful; presumably, the pictures are from
Kabul.
