New Collection, Labor Day at Venice Beach, J.D. Smith
I will take a break from my usual lurking to report that my third collection, Labor Day at Venice Beach, has been published and is now available through online sellers. Details, including kind words by Ned Balbo, April Lindner and David Sanders, are available here: http://www.cherry-grove.com/smith-venice.html The collection consists entirely of free verse poems and thus may not be to everyone's taste. That said, I think the poems partake of some of the clarity and rhetorical structure often found in formal verse. Should anyone here buy the book and find it not to their liking, please let me know and I (not the publisher) will refund the full price with proof of purchase. Thanks for your time and attention. |
Congratulations on the new book! (I also love armadillos, and once celebrated them in a poem. Let's swear eternal friendship.)

Thanks, Gail.
