The Wergle Flomp

I'm a finalist in the 2012 Wergle Flomp competition for humour verse: http://winningwriters.com/contests/w...astwinners.php The poem is scatological and irreverent, so don't read if those things upset you.

I didn't recognize any other Sphere names on the list. It's free and easy to enter and has good prize money, so why not give it a go? Entry is now open for 2013.

No, that was not a tornado, it was a jet engine whoosh from D&A.

Good luck with this, Mary. I'm going to fortify myself with my morning coffee and then I'll take a cautious peek.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, Mary. Congratulations.

Well done Mary! You're going from strength to strenth :)

I've always chuckled at Wurgle Flomp, but have never thought to enter. I'll have a go next year.

Thanks Janice, Tim and Jayne! Do please have a go, Jayne. I'll give you the benefit of my research: the judge has slightly odd taste, tending toward the smutty and to pop-lyric rewrites, but what she consistently goes for is length (ooer missus). Last year's winner was a nearly-full-length parody of Dante's Inferno.
