A poem by April Lindner, "Dog Bite" from This Bed Our Bodies Shaped (Able Muse Press, 2012), featured in Ted Kooser's American Life in Poetry, here.

Congrats, April!

Oh, yes, I remember this. Welll-chosen.

It's always good to see the American Life in Poetry poems without the frilly looking line indentions, forced into a two inch column in a newspaper, which probably look to most readers to be some kind of fluffy poetic adornment, although I am glad that Kooser has brought poetry back to at least a few newspapers. Heck, I am glad we still have newspapers.

But, given his nuts and bolts left margin poetry sensibility, I've always wanted to ask him how he feels about the formatting silliness that is obviously required for the poems he selects to be printed in our local paper.

Is it different in other syndications?
