Quick Question
Has anyone else received an email that says:
I would like to add you as a friend -lightversetojayne@gmail.com It doesn't appear to originate from any of the usual social media, Google knows nothing of it and our own Jayne has not announced anything on here. Is it legit? |
Ann, yes, I got the same thing this morning. Commonsense prevailed before I downloaded any software and I've queried Jayne by email.
|
Dammit, why haven't I had one? What was the result of your email, Jerome?
|
Found this in my spam filter this morning:
lightversetojayne@gmail.com has indicated you're a friend. Accept? Oddly enough, I didn't accept. |
Nasty little twerps, stealing Jayne's good name. They are but trash.
|
John, I've just seen a reply from Jayne. She doesn't use that address, though it is hers, and thinks she may have accidentally pressed a 'Friend' icon at some time. She has no dealings with social media sites. I shall delete and ignore.

I've been getting one from Siham's email address, almost every other day for the past month. But if you hold your mouse over the address you can see that it comes from an address other than the one identified. Don't open! Trash it! Lord only knows what's in there.

Bravo, Nemo.
|
I feel a little insulted that none of these spammers even want me for a friend.
|
oh I've gotten one from Siham too, on and off for days now! Grrrr. But we love you anyway, Siham. Gail, arent you ever invited to help poor sorry folk in Africa out by helping them cash fantastic accounts in the millions of GBP?
