Space opera!
 

By my friend Alex Temple. I'm biased because I like the composer as a human being, but nonetheless, I think it's safe to say that this piece of music made my day. It has rhymes of many syllables, political satire (oh god I'm just inviting somebody to come ruin my day again aren't I), world-building, and playful use of musical signifiers, among other goodies.
