from a watercoloured world
Good to see these, Steve. In the second colour landscape I can see a face appearing in the water. Is that accident? Whatever, I like the effect.
Are the colour landscapes watercolours? They're nice, peaceful, but remind me of so many similar watercolour landscapes I've seen in little galleries in this country. I prefer the immediacy, the evidence of hand and mark in your sketches; they have a depth, a weight that the coloured landscapes lack. Steve. |
Thanks for posting these, Steve. Your work always seems to have a fresh breeze blowing through it. I think my favorite is the third, which is a bit more defined than the others, yet still has a loose spontaneous feeling.

Thanks, Steve and Sharon...
Thanks for your comments. Steve, I find I have been through so much lately that I find my work is seeking normalcy. It is very interesting that you find the more expressive work more to your taste. Sharon, I find myself arguing over just that dilemma, the duality between expressive and refined. Thanks both for your comments.

Good stuff. I especially like the watercolors.
