Congrats to Alicia, the featured translator today ... here . After today, look in the archives.

That is so impressive.
Alicia's two books of poetry arrived in my mailbox yesterday and now I know what my next two books will be. |
And praise to Poetry Daily as well, for giving us a big juicy helping of the poem.

Thanks Alex, Janice & Maryann. Am delighted the book was featured. It has yet to be so much as reviewed, so this, and the generous nod in CPR, are great encouragements to me.

Alicia,
Have been offsite for ages - computer access should improve significantly in February - so it was only the other day that I learnt of your verse rendering of Lucretius via the TLS. Interesting that JS spoke more highly of this remarkable achievement than the rather grudging reviewer who seemed to want a clone of Tennyson! I do look foward to reading the translation ere long. Warm congratulations and best wishes for your ongoing projects, Margaret |
