This piece is very dynamic, I just love the life in it. Isn't it amazing what you can do with the "Paint" program. Nice work.

Hi Sharon, I was beginning to think no one liked these. I hope it captures something of the Australian lifestyle.
thanks for commenting Ross |
Is that your work, Ross?
It's a raw, elemental Hockney. I like it. It's unaffected and messy. I see freedom although using that program is tedious, limiting, and restraining. Good job. Raul |
Yes Paul, all my own work, no photos involved, but as you said the limitations of 'Paint' meant I stopped using it a few years ago, I did consider buying a pen mouse and doing computer drawing but never did, in fact though I have been drawing since a kid I rarely do any art work now.
I have always liked Hockney's work so I'm flattered you mention him. kind regards Ross |
Fascinating! Such concentration! I mean: How in the world did you manage to paint all of those horizontal and vertical lines without any bends or curves or wiggles? I mean: Why, after a while, didn't your mouse-hand cramp up?
Lovely work, Ross! Please post more. [I'm just hoping, now, that I haven't broken any rules by bumping up a thread that has been stagnant since green-up time.] |
Hi Patricia
I developed ways of zig-zagging across the page by doing abstract paintings. I don't paint anymore, just write poetry. I have a damaged right shoulder which restricts what I can do. You can see a lot of my mouse/Paint artwork on YouTube, under Ross Hamilton Hill. kind regards Ross |
After watching some of your videos on YouTube, I found the drawings in "Blues it is a woman" particularly interesting. I watched that video at least three times; and, because the drawings didn't contain a multitude of colors to distract my attention, I was able to actually listen to the words you were singing. Nice work, Ross.

Thanks Patricia, glad you liked it, I have very fond memories of House of Voo , a friend on Myspace called JesseJane who wrote the poem that I converted to the song.
